Born and raised in central Florida, my family and I spent many years criss-crossing the state in search of beaches, islands and fresh water springs to play in. It was from these early experiences that I developed my love for being in and under the water.
As I grew older, I became that funny girl in the back of the room staring at a bottle of water, wishing I could shrink myself to the size of an ant, and dive to the bottom of it. It wasn't until 2009 that I discovered my dreams of diving deeper and longer were shared by others, and that it in fact was a trainable sport. I immediately signed up for my first course and was not only blown away by the amount I learned, but also by how much improvement I had made in such a short time. I was hooked.
Since then I have participated in 3 competitions and am so very excited to see what the future holds. It is a huge honor to be a part of the US National Freediving Team, and I cannot wait to see what we can achieve this year.
